I was glad this happened on a recent trip to Denver when a fellow passenger (and Denver native) suggested that I try out the Cricket. The place was packed and the staff was super lively and energetic. What immediately won me over was the green chili. ![]() OMG, meaty, flavorful yet super spicy - just delicious. I'll be sure to stop in again the next time I'm in Denver. The cowboy burger wrangled me in, as I roped some rings on the side. Happy hour til 6pm started us off right. Staff was amazing. Took pity on me and made sure I had everything I need. I had the nitro blonde and it was quite dope. Also, they messed up my order and gave me the chicken dog instead of the beef. So what did they do? Gave me both and asked me to compare the two AND THEN GAVE ME 5. OFF. In you're in the neighborhood, check this place out. Just an awesome vibe. The burger was ok.. I heard the hype on this place since I moved here, but not sure if this place lives up to it. Had an amazing cheeseburger with fries and it was everything I dreamed it could be. They have a million toppings for your burgers, the atmosphere is fantastic. That's why they've actually been on food shows! They are truly committed to great service here, they even reply to their bad reviewers to make things right. The first time I tried to come here, they were closed due to a fire. So glad they are back open for business! This was my first time coming here and I was recommended to order a burger with cream cheese and jalape. And it did not disappoint! Because of my diet I ordered my burger with no fries and with out the bun, and it was delicious. It you're in Cheery Creek North I 1. We visit Denver several times a year and most of the time, we will get a meal at Cherry Cricket. The choices of toppings for the burgers are wonderful; my favorite combination is bacon, peanut butter, and cream cheese! We tried the friend mac n cheese bites this last time, and they were delicious! Would recommend, for sure! If this place were less expensive, I would rate it three stars. The quality does not merit the expense. The burgers are moist, sure, basically soggy. Soggy = Gross. Burgers were not cooked to specified doneness. I've had better fries for less money, they were kind of bland. Same with the burger, pretty bland. The onion rings could be really good, if only they would use yellow onions. Yellow onions have a much better savory cooked flavor. This would be a good place for large groups where the goal is an inoffensive (if expensive) menu and lots of drink options for large groups of friends. Went here on my husband's recommendation. I didn't know this place was a popular destination that's been featured in travel vlogs. He loved it the first time but says this time was inconsistent. His burger of medium was well done on one side and rare on the other. We got mash puppies which were good but way spicier than I expected so just be aware! Their Louisiana hot wings were good as well. We liked the non heavy breading OR saucing. Service was fast and friendly. I came to the Cherry Cricket after a very expensive dinner and not being full! There burgers here are classic and i love that you have so much to can add to your burger so you literally create your own burger. The hush puppies here are so so good. I love hush puppies most of the times i feel that they are to bland however the ones here are super flavorful. The wings and fries are classic also. I usually always give 4 stars however i feel that this place is a lil over rated but it is good.. I visited Denver and of course i had to yelp to find a great place to grab a bite. This place came up and with over a 1. I had to try it. I ordered the burger of the month that had mushrooms, bacan and a type of flavored cream cheese. It was good, not the best burger in my life but good. The problem was the meat was not seasoned. That was delicious, doesn't sound appetizing but it was really good. The onion rings was also hot and fresh. Our waitress was great, friendly and attentive. Overall a good start to my visit to Denver. Cool spot! Good, tasty build your own burgers. Not the best burger spot in Denver but worth stopping in for! Various topping choices, be careful how much you add since their specialty toppings other than lettuce, tomato, and pickles cost $$. Ordered my burger with a side of angry Mac and cheese and mmm mmmm, so good! Patio seating in front & in back, perfect for a warm sunny day. Nice place to grab a meal in the Cherry Creek North shopping area. We were visiting Denver and killing some time in this area and picked this place based on menu alone. The weather was so nice! He juggled our table and the others on the patio like a BOSS. Very friendly, efficient and personable! I think it was ok but I think I went too crazy with the extra toppings so it made the burger a bit soggy on the bread. Ended up eating half and then the rest of patty with a knife and fork. He also got a side of the green chile which is apparently a Denver delicacy by way of NM. Nice guy for looking out! My husband had the PB& J boozy shake and it was SO good I had to stop after a few slurps or I would've left him with nothing! After missing it on my first trip to Denver, we finally made it down for a lunch after a morning at the Denver Botanical Gardens. I expected more of a good ole' family restaurant- type vibe, but it seemed more like a large, divey bar with lots of beers on tap, which was totally fine. We found some seats at the bar, and ordered beers, of which there are quite a few, including some of the local breweries, which was was nice. I got the bison burger with smoked cheddar and green chile strips. I figured these ingredients were reflective of Denver and the surrounding Colorado area, and I really enjoyed it. The burger was huge, cooked just right, and the fries were seasoned nicely. Not that there's anything wrong with Little League Baseball, but as someone who doesn't follow, it was hard to keep my attention on the TV. Prices were decent, and the burger only came out to be about $1. Seeing as it has become a bit of a Denver staple, I hope the Cherry Cricket stays around for a while. Delicious burgers (still make them to order and can go rare if you want). Tons of beer options. Basically you can't go wrong here (unless you order your burger well done like a heathen)Our first time at Cherry Creek. And we somehow stumbled onto Cherry Cricket. Denver (it's our first time here) rocks with the brews. We both were very happy and full : ) will visit again and thanks to our waiter for such friendly service! I love this place! Great service, atmosphere and service! Green chili.. Anytime I'm in Denver, I will be back! I'm going to be one of the few locals who is going to say the Cherry Cricket is just . The frings (onion rings and fries) basket is fairly good and plenty sharable. Pretty much whatever you want, they'll put on a burger. The place itself is truly a dive bar and we got carded and stamped at like, 5 in the afternoon, really. Didn't love that whole bouncer experience and being treated like a bar hopper in the middle of the day. Nothing wrong with the burgers they're just nothing to write home about.
